Considerable evidence now exists to show that many plants and animals (including humans) have biological and behavior patterns that are linked to the earth's cycles. The earth's cycles are in turn linked to the movement of its cosmic neighbors. No one would deny that the earth’s relationship with the sun decides when it will go dark, when the leaves will fall from the trees and when we can harvest the fruits of our labors to feed our families.

It is the moon’s relationship with the sun that dictates the tides. With a smattering of astrological knowledge anyone can “predict” when the boats can sail and when the clams at the bottom of San Francisco bay will open to start feeding. In theory at least we can look for movement in any part of the universe and, if we know the rules, can work out what the likely effect might be somewhere else. This is what are attempting to do by studying astrology or any other divination tool.
