If you choose a responsible breeder and make sure your pitbull puppy receives basic obedience training you will have an obedient, well behaved friend to be proud of.

Pitbulls make wonderful family pets that love children. But due to their powerful physique and natural aggression towards other dogs, Pitbull Terriers require early socialization and careful and consistent obedience training from an early age.

Hear what I am saying, it is not the stupid people who want to bet money on dog fights that will get the American Pit Bull Terriers banned, it's normal people who didn't know how to care for a Pitbull, about training a Pitbull or just how resourceful these wonderful creatures can be. Pit bulls are great climbers, if you don't have a high fence they will climb right out of your yard. Pitbull terriers thrive on plenty of daily exercise and human attention, if you don't provide both, and leave it in a less than secure yard, it will do it's best to find companions on its own. If you have not trained your dog well, the last place you want it to be is roaming the neighborhood on its own.
